  1.     Armenian Monastic Ensembles of Iran (2008)

The Armenian Monastery in the north-west of Iran, consists of three complex monastery of the Armenian Christian faith: St Thaddeus and St Stepanos and the Chapel of Dzordzor.

Of the these three the oldest of which, St Thaddeus, are good examples of the outstanding values which dates back to the 7th century – of the Armenian architectural and decorative traditions. The actual Church is the existing example of the Byzantine Orthodox Persian Art. These buildings are a very good example of the respect Iranian held for other religion and the actual building is living religious tradition throughout the centuries.
